Viewing Patient's NextGen® PxP Portal Enrollment Status

If the practice is part of NextGen® PxP Portal, you can view the patient's NextGen® PxP Portal enrollment status on the Patient Information Card (PIC). If the patient is not enrolled in NextGen® PxP Portal, you can send an enrollment invitation email. Note: The patient enrollment status indicator is available only when the NextGen® PxP Portal license is active. The following are the patient's enrollment status indicators. Enroll a Patient in NextGen® PxP Portal

Before you begin Ensure that the patient portal must setup in File Maintenance and has a valid NextGen® PxP Portal license for your practice. If the patient is not enrolled in NextGen® PxP Portal, you can send an enrollment invitation email through NextGen® Enterprise EHR. For more information on NextGen® PxP Portal, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest NextGen®PxP Portal Provider Guide forNextGen®Enterprise EHR. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from Patient Lookup window. To invite the patient for NextGen® PxP Portal enrollment, do one of the following: On the Patient Information Card (PIC), select Enroll Now next to the Not enrolled in Patient Portal indicator. On the main toolbar, select File > Patient Portal > Enroll Now. NextGen® Enterprise EHR sends the patient an enrollment invitation email and a text message notification about the invitation. Deactivated Patient Portal deactivated The practice has deactivated the NextGen® PxP Portal account of the patient. If the account is activated again, the enrollment status changes to Completed. Enroll a Patient in NextGen® PxP Portal

If the Patient Portal trigger action is Enrollment, you can set up a NextGen® PxP Portal account for the selected patient through NextGen® Enterprise EHR. For more information on the enrollment process, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest NextGen® PxP Portal Provider Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Ask your system administrator which NextGen® Enterprise EHR template and field to use. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, select the template that contains the Patient Portal trigger, and then select OK. Select the Patient Portal trigger on the applicable field. The following actions are triggered depending on the patient status: If the patient status is Not Enrolled and all mandatory patient information fields are filled, a NextGen® PxP Portal enrollment invitation email is sent to the patient.
