View CCRs

Continuity of Care Record (CCR) is an old standard for patient summary records. The CCR standard preceded the creation of the Continuity of Care Document (CCD) standard. The CDA Viewer can display CCR documents, but some CDA Viewer features are not available when viewing CCRs:

• Only the Full View is supported, so the document is opened in Full View.
  

• If you select Custom View, the tab displays a message explaining that CCRs are not available in Custom View.
  

• Filters are not available. The complete document is displayed.
• CDA Validation does not apply to CCRs. The CDA Validation tab displays the message "Document does not appear to be a CDA document. No validation was performed."
