Verify Provider Enrollment

Beginning with NextGen® Enterprise EHR, 5.9.2020.1 or higher, you must ensure that enrolled providers are migrated to the latest Surescripts® messaging standard, Surescripts 6.1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the View menu, select eRx Status. The eRx Status window opens. eRx Status From the User list, select <All Users>. From the Provider list, select <All Providers>. From the Message Type list, select UpdatePrescriberLocation. If needed, select a date range. Select Search. The search results appear. eRx Status CAUTION: If any enrolled provider has an unsuccessful UpdatePrescriberLocation message, resolve the issues and update provider enrollment in File Maintenance. View Medication Version

You can view the version and date of the latest medication update applied to your NextGen database: From the Main menu bar, select Help > About. The About NextGen® window opens which displays the medication version details. Parent topic: Drug and Medication Data

View the eRx Status for a Medication with a Prior Authorization Request

If you sent an electronic prior authorization request through the Initiate ePA link, you can track the eRx status of the medication. From the View menu, select eRx Status. The eRx Status window opens. eRx Status For Message Type, select PA Initiation Request. Enter any remaining criteria as needed, and then select Search. Select Medication Statuses to Display in the Medications List

You can select which medication status groups to display in the Medications List. All medications with the same status are listed together under that status in the Medications List. For example, all active medications will be listed under the Active grouping. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open Medications module. Select Grid Preferences. The eRx status details for Cancel Rx, New eRx, Refill Request, and Refill Response display details in the following tabs: Patient Medication Pharmacy Provider Misc Patient eRx Details The Patient tab displays the patient's information and demographic details including valid contact numbers. Pharmacy eRx Details The Pharmacy tab displays the store and pharmacist details. Medication eRx Details Provider eRx Details The Provider tab displays the provider's details.
