Set Up the Report Path for SAP® Crystal Reports®

In order to print a SAP® Crystal Reports® you must have one or more specific reports set up through the Crystal Report application and assigned to a printer. For test orders, you can create a report for the current encounter for the current patient. Make sure that you have the System Administrator setting for Reports defined. Selecte System Administrator > View > Universal Preferences. The Preferences window opens. Select Reports. Make sure the paths are defined. Select OK to save the value. User-defined reports are saved in the appropriate directory for easy access at a later time. After you have created the reports that you need, select which reports you want to use for each testing entity in File Maintenance > Practice Preferences > Orders module > Reports. Set up the Immunizations Summary Report Basic Workflow

After the upgrade, copy all of the updated SAP Crystal Reports from your NextGen Root directory to the location used for SAP Crystal Reports by your practice. For the Immunizations Summary report types (that is, original, CDC format, and Detail), copy the reports from \Distributed Reports\Crystal Reports to your Reports path. Tip: This path is defined in System Administrator > View > Universal Preferences > Reports > Reports Path. Determine which Immunization report your practice needs to generate when administering Immunizations in the Immunizations module (that is the Immunizations Summary report, Immunizations Summary report (CDC format, or the Immunizations Detail report). Select the appropriate Immunizations report to copy to the NextGen Root Directory. Save the file. Select the printer. Setting up Rights and Preferences for the Immunizations Module

The System Administrator should work closely with the core team of the practice to ensure that appropriate rights, preferences, SAP® Crystal Reports®, other reports, and other tasks are set up for the user groups. The administrator needs to update the Setup when the business needs change for the practice. Some functions and preferences are same for the Immunizations module and the Orders module. Therefore, if you are using the Orders module, ensure that you set up the preferences for the Orders module before you set up the Immunizations module. Copy the Immunizations Summary Report to the NextGen Root Directory

Note: : You can select only one report format (that is, original or CDC format) when copying the Immunizations Summary report to the NextGen Root directory. To set up the Immunizations Summary report (original format), do the following: Access the report file (vaccineSummary.rpt) from the Distributed Reports, Crystal Reports, Orders Reports list list. Copy the Immunizations Detail Report to the NextGen Root Directory

CAUTION: You can select only one report format (that is, original, CDC format, Detail) when copying the Immunizations Summary report to the NextGen Root directory. If you select the Immunizations Detail report instead of the Immunizations Summary report (original or CDC format), it is the only report that the user can generates from the Immunizations tab toolbar. Access the report file (vaccineSummary.rpt) from the Distributed Reports, Crystal Reports, Orders Reports list. Copy the report file to your practice’s location for SAP Crystal reports. Save the report as vaccineSummary.rpt. Note: For the Immunizations Summary report, copy the reports from \Distributed Reports\Crystal Reports to your Reports path. SAP® Crystal Reports® for Orders

SAP® Crystal Reports® packaged in NextGen® Enterprise EHR include reports specific to test orders. You can generate, view, and print both standard and custom practice SAP Crystal Reports. For test orders, you can use the standard set of orders-based SAP Crystal Reports to create reports for lab and radiology orders for your practice. You can create a report for the current encounter for the current patient. You can also map multiple tests to the same AOE question. Before the standard SAP Crystal Reports for test orders can be used to generate or print reports, set up is required in System Administrator.
