NextGen® Enterprise EHR enables you to sort data sheet columns at run time for display purposes only. You can sort data sheets by column in ascending or descending order by selecting the header or using the
Sort Special command. If you use the Sort Special command and select a specific column, the ascending/descending order is applied to that column. If you do not select a column, the ascending/descending order is applied to the first column by default.
Note: If you are using a Data Flow Sheet, it is sorted by encounter dates, either in ascending or descending order. You cannot save the user-defined, column sort order; templates always default to the column sort order set up in Template Editor. You cannot sort a stored procedure data sheet column by selecting its header or by using the Sort Special command.
