Medical Records Preferences
Use the Medical Records preferences to set up the default provider and location. When the preferences are saved, the selected location and provider are retained the next time when you open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. If the location and provider have not been set, when you log on, the Select Location window opens followed by the Select Provider window. These windows also appear if the location and provider are blank when you perform a patient lookup (select the Patient button or Select Patient from the File menu). You can select a different provider for the same location or a different location for the same provider, or change both the location and provider. You can also filter provider selection by the associated location. Assign External Provider Reference URLs at the User Level
NextGen® Enterprise EHR allows you to assign your own External Provider Reference URLs that override the URLs set up in the Practice Preferences in File Maintenance. Access NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the Tools menu, select Preferences. On the Preferences window, select the Reference tab. In the External Provider Reference section, enter the URLs of the websites in the respective fields for the following modules: Diagnosis & Problem Modules Procedure Module Medication Module Medication Allergy Module Order Module - Lab Results Select Apply and then select OK.
