Medical Records Preferences

Use the Medical Records preferences to set up the default provider and location. When the preferences are saved, the selected location and provider are retained the next time when you open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.

If the location and provider have not been set, when you log on, the Select Location window opens followed by the Select Provider window. These windows also appear if the location and provider are blank when you perform a patient lookup (select the Patient button or Select Patient from the File menu). You can select a different provider for the same location or a different location for the same provider, or change both the location and provider.

You can also filter provider selection by the associated location.
