Medications List Columns
You can select the columns you want to view in the Medications List. Right-click the header row of the Medications List, or select Grid Preferences. Select View > <Column Name>. View, Column name You can select any combination of the available columns. If necessary, re-order the columns by selecting and dragging each column to the desired position. Reset Display of Medications List Columns
You can reset the display of Medications List columns to the default view. Right-click the header row of the Medications List, or select Grid Preferences. Select Reset Columns. Reset Columns Parent topic: Medications List

Group Medications by Columns in the Medications List
Right-click the header row of a column you wish to group the medications by, or select Grid Preferences. Select Group By & Sort Same Column. Group By & Sort Same Column All of the medications displayed in the Medication List are grouped by the selected column. Note: If you have the Group & Sort Same Column option selected, you can re-group medications by selecting the desired column header. In case the Group & Sort Same Column option is not selected, selecting the column header only sorts the medications based on the existing grouping. Regroup medications in column header If necessary, you can ungroup the medications by right-clicking and selecting UnGroup option. Right-click and select Regroup option to regroup the medications. Expanding/Collapsing Medications List
You can expand or collapse each of the four displayed groups of medications (Active, Inactive, Pending, or Temporary) by selecting the corresponding Expand or Collapse button. Expand or Collapse Medications List You can select whether each group is expanded or collapsed by default. Select Medication Statuses to Display in the Medications List
You can select which medication status groups to display in the Medications List. All medications with the same status are listed together under that status in the Medications List. For example, all active medications will be listed under the Active grouping. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open Medications module. Select Grid Preferences. Medications List
The medications list displays all medications prescribed for the selected patient, including any combination of Active, Inactive, Pending and Temporary medications. You can customize the display of available medication information in the medications list. CAUTION: Whenever you add a new column to the medications list, you must reset the view and then rebuild your list preferences. Medications List Note: The Original Start Date field was added to NextGen® Enterprise, version 5.7. This field displays the date a medication was originally prescribed using the renewals functionality. The Start Date field automatically displays the date a medication was first prescribed. For the original medication in a renew chain, both the Original Start Date and Start Date fields display the same date. When the medication is renewed, the Original Start Date remains the same and the Start Date field reflects the date of the renewal.
