Set Up Auto Release Practice Preferences

  1. Select File Maintenance > Master Files > System > EHR > Practices > Preferences > Orders Module.
  2. Select All tab.
  3. Double-click your practice.
    The Modify Practice Information window opens.
  4. Select Preferences.
  5. Select Orders Module from the Preference List.
    The Orders tab opens. The Auto Release options display on the All tab.

  6. Select the Auto Release Task Group to receive the notification that the order has been auto released, if necessary.
  7. Select your practice's Auto Release Option to use the Auto Release function from the list:
    • Opt-in. Select this option if your practice chooses to use the Auto Release function.
    • Opt-out. Select this option if your practice does not choose to use the Auto Release function.
    • Opt-in Default to Auto Release. Select this option to indicate the following:
      • Your practice chooses to use the Auto Release function
      • Recurring and Future orders are defaulted as selected for auto release (that is, the Automatically release this order when it is due check box is selected.)
  8. Enter the Future/Recurring Order expires date, if necessary.
  9. Enter the number of days that the system automatically releases the Recurring and Future orders before the scheduled due date.
    Enter 3 to indicate that orders should be automatically released 3 days before the scheduled due date.
  10. To save your preferences, select OK.
