Select the Orders Filter Provider, Location, and Performing Entity

You can select one or more providers, locations, or performing entities to filter orders by on the Data 2 tab of the Set Orders Summary Filters window.

The Performing Entity section is applicable to lab and radiology orders only. If you select only ImmunizationOrder as the order type in the Data tab, the Performing Entity section does not appear.

  1. To access the Set Orders Summary Filters window if it is not open, select the saved filter you created on the Orders Summary grid Filter bar, and select Manage Filters.
  2. On the Set Orders Summary Filters window, select the Data 2 tab.

  3. In the Provider section, select to search for the ordering provider(s).
    The Provider Search window opens.
    1. Do one of the following:
      • To view all providers for your practice, do not enter any search criteria, and select Search.
      • Enter the full or partial practice details or provider contact information, and select Search.
    2. Select the provider(s) from the list of matches.
      • Double-click to select one provider, double-click the provider.
      • To select multiple providers, select them, and then select OK.
    The Provider section displays the selected provider(s).

    To remove a provider in the Provider section, select the name, and select . Then select Yes in the confirmation window that appears.

  4. In the Location section, select to search for the ordering location(s).
    The Location Search window opens.
    1. Do one of the following:
      • To view all available locations, do not enter any search criteria, and select Search.
      • Enter the full or partial location details or location contact information, and select Search.
    2. Select the location(s) from the list of matches.
      • Double-click to select one location.
      • To select multiple locations, select themt, and then select OK.
      The Location section displays the selected location(s).

      To remove a location in the Location section, select the location, and select . Then select Yes in the confirmation window that appears.

  5. In the Performing Entity section, select the name of each entity that will perform the lab or radiology test(s).
    All available performing entities and To be determined are selected by default.
    • To remove a selected performing entity, clear its check box.
    • To clear all selected performing entities, select Uncheck All.
    • To select all performing entities, select Check All.

    If you do not select a performing entity, orders for all performing entities are displayed in the filter.

  6. To enter lab or radiology test description filters, follow the steps in Add Orders Summary Filter Descriptions for Lab and Radiology Tests.
  7. To apply or save your filter selections, select Apply or Save All & Apply.
