filters section opens within the
Search Documents
window.
To select an encounter range, do one of the following:
Select a predefined time period from the encounter date list.
Select
The selected dates
from the list, and then select the start and end dates from the list.
The
Enc Date
check box is automatically selected.

Select Documents Search
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. Select the Encounter History or Categories tab. Select .The Search Documents window opens. Select Hide/Show Filters icon.The Look in: filters section opens within the Search Documents window. To use any previously searched document, select a document from the Documents list. To select other documents to search, select the Ellipsis button next to the Documents list.The Select Documents window opens displaying a list of available documents for the patient. Under Available Documents, select a document to include in the search, and then select the double-right arrows to move them under Selected Documents section. To select multiple adjacent documents at a time, select and hold the <SHIFT> key while selecting each document. To select multiple non-adjacent documents, select and hold the <CTRL> key as you select each document. To remove any selected documents, select the documents under Selected Documents, and

Search Patient Documents
You can search with a single term or multiple terms within all or specific documents generated on a patient chart in the Search Documents window. You can search for documents in all patient encounters, a specific encounter date, or an encounter date range. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. Select the Encounter History or Categories tab. Select .The Search Documents window opens. Enter single or multiple keywords and phrases related to your desired document in the search box. Tip: For example, you can search by headache, cluster headache, strep, or streptococcus. Note: You can limit your search criteria by selecting the search parameters that include specific documents and encounter range in the Hide/Show Filters section. Select Search. The Search Documents window displays the list of documents, matching phrases or keywords entered in the search bar. Manage Encounter Display Information at User-Level
You can choose the information to be included along with its format, and order. You can also include remarks. You can set encounter display preferences in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. On the Encounters tab, select the settings icon.A window opens, showing the default encounter information and a sample display. Under the My Patient History Settings | General section, do the following: To open a patient in the Encounters or Categories tab in NextGen® Enterprise EHR, in Default View, select the desired option. To open the NextGen Document Management images in NextGen Document Management or NextGen® Enterprise EHR by default, in NextGen Documents Management items select, Open in NextGen Document Management or Open in NextGen EHR. View Document Information
You can view document and encounter information, file properties, and user permissions for a selected patient document on the Encounter History or Categories tab. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. To view the properties of a document, do one of the following: Select the Encounters tab, Select a patient encounter, that contains the document, and select the button to open the Encounter Details window.
