Display Patient Conditions View
The Medications module enables you to view patient diagnoses and allergies through the Patient Condition view. The Patient Condition view enables you to add a diagnosis to the selected medication. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Medications module. Select the Patient Condition button or the View(or Add?) link in the Problem section. The Patient Condition pane displays a list of all diagnoses and allergies information. View Prescription Pad
You can use the Prescription Pad pane to view pertinent medication information and to make appropriate changes to the medication's start date, SIG, and comments. You can also select whether a medication should be Dispensed as Written by automatically attaching your signature. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Medications module. Select a medication. Select Prescription Pad . The Prescription Pad pane appears on the left side of the window with the information for the medication you selected. Note: The Prescription Pad pane displays: As needed if you select the PRN check box. As needed along with the reason if you select the PRN check box and then select Reason. Only the reason if you select Reason without selecting the PRN check box. Open Medications Module
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from Patient Lookup window. Select an existing encounter from the Encounter History tab or create an encounter. Open the Medication Allergies Module
You can open the Medication Allergies module and acknowledge drug interactions. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. Select or create an encounter from the Encounter History tab. To open the Medication Allergies module, select Allergies from the Quick Buttons panel. View Refill Requests from the Medications Module
If you have a new eRx refill request for the patient, you can view the refill request details in the manage refills window in the Medications module. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from Patient Lookup window. To view the Medications module for the patient, select Medications from the Quick Buttons panel. If NextGen® Enterprise EHR detects a new eRx refill request for the patient, the Manage Refills window opens, where you can view the refill requests details of the patient. Select Medication Statuses to Display in the Medications List
You can select which medication status groups to display in the Medications List. All medications with the same status are listed together under that status in the Medications List. For example, all active medications will be listed under the Active grouping. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open Medications module. Select Grid Preferences. Select View, and then select one or more of the following statuses: Active, Inactive, Pending, and Deleted Parent topic: Medications List
