You can manually review possible negative interactions of active and inactive ingredients of a selected medication in Drug Interaction window.
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
Open Medications module.
Select Prescribe New.
The Medication Search window opens.
Search for a medication.
Note: If you select a medication that is a duplicate of an active or a pending medication for the patient, or if you select a medication that has contraindications to an existing patient's diagnosis, NextGen® Enterprise EHR displays a warning message.
To approve the drug interaction, enter a reason or select one from the list, and then select Acknowledge.
