Reject a Task
In the task list, select a task assigned to you. The
icon indicates a pending task.
Select
Reject
in the toolbar.
The task is removed from your task list and notification of rejection is sent to the creator of the task.

Reply to Tasks
You can reply to tasks that were assigned to you. Replying to a task creates a new task for the person who sent the original task. Select a task assigned to you. Select Reply in the toolbar. The task details open. The Subject is automatically filled in, as a response to the original task. Change any of the items within the instructions under Task Creator Actions. Do one of the following: To cancel the reply, select Undo. To save your changes and reply, select Send Task. The reply is sent as a new task to the original creator of the task or whomever was selected as the recipient. Parent topic: Task Recipient Actions

Remove a Task
You can remove a task you accepted or declined from the task list. You cannot remove an uncompleted task you assigned to another user. You can restore a removed task if required. You can permanently remove a completed task that you created so that is no longer in your database. You cannot recover permanently removed tasks. To remove a single task, select the task, and then select Remove > Single Task from the toolbar. To remove multiple tasks at a time, select the tasks by selecting the Ctrl key, and then select Remove > Multiple Tasks from the toolbar. A confirmation message Remove Task appears to remove the task. To permanently remove the selected tasks, select the Remove Permanently check box. A warning message cautions you that the action cannot be undone. To remove the selected tasks, select OK. One of the following windows can appear based on the task you are trying to remove: You have accepted the task but have not completed it. Select OK to mark the task as completed and remove

Complete a Task
When you have completed a task, you must mark it as complete in the Clinical Tasking tab. Completed tasks can still be updated or reassigned. Select a task assigned to you. Do one of the following: If you have already accepted the task, select Complete in the toolbar. If you have not accepted the task and want to accept and complete it simultaneously, select Accept > And Complete in the toolbar. The task appears completed for the owner and recipient of the task. Restore a Task
You can restore removed tasks that have not been permanently deleted. Select Clinical Tasks > Show Removed Tasks. Select a removed task from the task list. All removed tasks are displayed with a strikethrough line. Select Restore in the toolbar. A Clinical Tasking confirmation window opens. Select OK to restore the deleted task. Reassign a Task
You can reassign incomplete and rejected tasks that you have sent. You can also reassign accepted and incomplete tasks assigned to you. Select the task to reassign. Note: Rejected tasks specifically call for reassignment in the Response field. Select Reassign in the toolbar. The Select Task Recipients window opens. Select the user or workgroup. You can search for a user or workgroup using the search field at the top. Note: You can control whether you see all users in all practices or users in your current practice by setting up the Task Recipients by Practice preference in Universal Preferences. For more information, refer to the System Administrator Guide forNextGen®Enterprise. Select OK. The task is reassigned to the selected recipients.
