Problem List Data Entry Area Toolbar

The problem list data entry area toolbar is located at the top of the data entry area and below the data display area. The data entry area toolbar buttons enable you to perform functions related to a patient's problems such as add, recode, and modify the problems. Re-Code a Patient Problem in the Problem List Resolve an Active Problem Set a selected active problem to the resolved state and provide details such as the Resolved Date, Resolved By, and Resolved Reason. Add a Problem to the Tracked Problems List

You can track problems by associating a problem with NextGen® Enterprise EHR user or provider. You can track a problem if you are viewing all problems, if the problem has not already been added to Tracked Problems, and you do not have the Show My Tracked Problems check box selected. Select a problem from the Problem List. Do one of the following: Right-click the problem, and then select Add to My Tracked Problems. The problem list data entry area occupies the bottom half of the Problem List tab. The problem list data entry area displays the data entry options to add, modify, track, and resolve patients' problems. Remove a Problem from the Tracked Problems List

To remove a problem from your Tracked Problems list, you have to remove its association with the NextGen® Enterprise user or provider. You can only remove a problem if has not already been removed from Tracked Problems and you do not have the Show My Tracked Problems check box selected. After you remove a problem from the list of tracked-problems, it remains on the patient's Problem List. Select a problem in the Problem List. Add a Problem to the Billing ICD List

From the problem list, you can add a problem to the billing ICD list. Open the Problems Module. Select a problem from the problem list. Do one of the following: Right-click the problem, and then select Add to Billing ICD List. On the date entry grid tracking toolbar, select Add to Billing ICD List. The Billing ICD Search window opens. The application maps the problem SNOMED Concept ID code to the billing ICD code and displays the results in the Billing ICD List tab. Select Mapped ICD Code Note: The Billing ICD Search window displays synonym descriptions associated with an ICD code in the search results. If the selected problem has multiple billing ICD-10 codes, the application displays the list of mapped codes. Select which billing ICD-10 code to add to the billing ICD list for the current encounter. Adding a Tracked Diagnosis from the Patient's Problem List to the ICD Billing List

You can add a diagnosis from a patient's problem list to ICD billing list for that patient. A chronic or tracked condition diagnosis from the patient's problem list can be added to the ICD billing list. This causes the diagnosis to be associated with an ICD billing code, and enables it to be associated with a care guideline. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template. The Care Guidelines template opens. Select Add/Update in the Care Guidelines panel. The Activate Care Guidelines template opens. Expand the Problem List panel, do the following: Select the Show chronic check box to display chronic problems only. Select the Show my tracked problems check box to display only those diagnoses that have been assigned to the patient’s tracked problems list.
