Prescription Drug Monitoring Program Setup

The Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) setup involves the following procedures:

• In File Maintenance:
  • Enable PDMP Gateway. or Enable State PDMP.
    Note: The Enable State PDMP option enables non-Bamboo Health users to document that they have checked the state's PDMP website outside of NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
  • If necessary, specify whether PDMP report review is required.
  • Select the PDMP Gateway role.
• In System Administrator:
  • Set up user and provider relationship to Self.
  • If necessary, set up PDMP reports to automatically generate.
  • Verify the PDMP Production API URL.
  • Grant PDMP report security rights to user groups.
