The Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) setup involves the following procedures:
- In File Maintenance:
- Enable PDMP Gateway. or Enable State PDMP.
Note: The Enable State PDMP option enables non-Bamboo Health users to document that they have checked the state's PDMP website outside of NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
- If necessary, specify whether PDMP report review is required.
- Select the PDMP Gateway role.
- In System Administrator:
- Set up user and provider relationship to Self.
- If necessary, set up PDMP reports to automatically generate.
- Verify the PDMP Production API URL.
- Grant PDMP report security rights to user groups.
Note: If you have firewall or proxy restrictions, you should grant access to the URL pdmp.nextgen.com on workstations where you are using
NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
If your domain supports wildcards, you can grant access to *.pmpgateway.net.
