Prerequisites to Associate a Program to an Encounter
You can associate a program to an encounter in NextGen® Enterprise EHR when creating an encounter. After you associate a program to an encounter, the status in appears as In Progress, which allows NextGen Enterprise PM users to calculate revenues.
To view the list of programs to associate when creating an encounter, you must first create the list of programs and ensure the following in File Maintenance:
- Create at least one program in master file.
- Select Enable Programs from .
- Select Default all new encounters to are in progress from File Maintenance > Master Files > System > Practices > Preferences > Encounters and select at least one program from the Limit to Valid Programs list.
- The patient is enrolled to a program.
