Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from Patient Lookup window.
From a patient chart, select New > Encounter in File menu.
The Select a Program window opens displaying programs that the patient is enrolled in.
Select a program and then select OK.
The encounter has been associated to the program. The program appears in the Encounter Maintenance > Program list. The Encounter Status in NextGen Enterprise PM > Patient Chart > Encounters > Encounter Information for the patient appears as In Progress.
You can filter encounters that are associated with a specific program.
