Perform Allergy Check
Before you begin
Ensure that you have configured allergy check for immunization order items.
You can review and update a patient's allergies when you select the first immunization order item for the encounter.
Note:
Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) saves your allergy review for all subsequent immunization items you select for the encounter.
Open CPOE.
Select an immunization order item.
Note:
For an immunization order item, Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) automatically adds the default ICD-10-CM Z23 diagnosis code.
The
Review Allergies
window opens (if enabled).
Select either
Yes
or
No
for each of the listed allergies.
Note:
If the patient has no allergies, you can select the
No To All Allergies
check box.
The selected allergies appear under the
Existing Allergies
section.
For each allergy, enter the onset and resolved dates, select a reaction from the
Reaction
list, and document your comments.
Select
Save
.

Check Administration History
You can check a patient's past administration information for a vaccine group. Note: For more information on immunizations, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Immunization Module User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise. Open CPOE. Select Order Items from the Immunizations Recommendations List

Modify Assigned Diagnoses on Orders
When you select a diagnosis in the Assign Diagnosis section, Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) automatically adds it to all the selected order items. You can manually change the diagnosis selection for individual order items. Open CPOE. Select an order item. Assign a diagnosis to the selected order item. To modify the diagnosis for an order item, do one of the following: In the All tab, select the expand icon corresponding to the order item. Select the Laboratory, Diagnostic, or Immunization tab, and then select the expand icon corresponding to the order item. The Modify Diagnosis section appears. Select a diagnosis. Note: You can select multiple diagnoses. For more information on how to use the Search and Clear options under Modify Diagnosis, see steps 4-6 in Add Diagnoses to Order Items. Manage General Order Details
In the All tab, which displays a summary of all your selected order items, you can view and modify the diagnoses for each order item; and any information that is common for all the selected order items, such as ordering provider, location, and insurance details. Note: Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) groups the order items by order type and performing entity. Open CPOE. Select an order item. Assign a diagnosis to the selected order item. Place Selected Orders
Before you begin While selecting your orders, ensure that you address all the mandatory indicators, which are denoted by . Ensure that you have completed the charge submission and payers information configurations in File Maintenance so that your practice can post charges for performing laboratory and diagnostic tests, and also automatically include Healthcare Common Procedural Coding System (HCPCS) codes and Modifiers in the charges for diagnostic orders with Appropriate Use Criteria (AUC) check. Note: For more information on charge submission configurations, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest File Maintenance Preferences Guide for NextGen® Enterprise and Procedures and Superbill Modules User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise. You can place your selected orders and view a summary of the of the placed orders in Placed Items.
