Overview of Insights Viewer
Insights Viewer is an expandable side panel that allows you to efficiently access gaps in patient care and plan accordingly in NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
You can view the following components on the Insights Viewer window. This data is provided by the population health patient list.
- Patient demographics including the name, date of birth, and age.
- Gaps-in-Care details, such as Past Due, Near Due, Passed, and Failed Gaps using the Critical, Warning, and Info sections.
- Risk Scores for ACG, HCG and ASCVD.
- Labs or tests or immunizations or refills near due.

Following are the prerequisites to view the patient clinical data on the Insights Viewer window.
- To enable the use of the Insights feature, you should be registered in the CDS API System. You can contact the support or the deployment team for registration.
- The patient must be enrolled in Population Health Sync (PHS). If the client is registered on the CDS API System but the patient is not registered in PHS, then the Insights window is available but not populated with data.
- Set up Rights and Permissions in System Administrator.
