Function

You can choose to filter the new items by
  • New Information only
  • Different information only
If selected, the differences are highlighted in the compendium list and the blue arrows are activated to move through the differences. If not selected, the differences are shown as plain text.
Moves through the new LOINC code list one at a time, or moves to the beginning or end of list.
Select this button to get information on how to edit compendium data.
Save modified LOINC records.
Update (Save) displayed LOINC records.

The following columns appear in the Orders Management Console data LOINC Code Updates

ColumnColumn Content
or Indicates a new record or a conflict with existing data.
CodeThis is the LOINC code ID that is used to identify this test in the NextGen compendium, for example "10032-1."
Component DescriptionThis is the text description associated with this test component in the NextGen compendium.
Long Common NameLong Name assigned to the LOINC code. It can be selected and copied.
User DescriptionThe user defined description for the LOINC component. You can edit this field or paste text into this field.
PropertyThe observed property of the LOINC component, for example, substance, concentration, volume.
Time AspectThe timing of the measurement for the LOINC component.
SystemThis is the origin of the specimen if not the patient, for example a blood donor.
Scale TypeThe scale of measurement for the LOINC component.
Method TypeThis is the method of the measurement for the LOINC component. This value comes from LOINC (loinc.org).
Class Type1=Laboratory, 2=Clinical, 3=Claims Attachment, 4=Surveys.
ClassClassification of LOINC term.
Order/ObservationThis indicates whether the LOINC component is for Order, Observation or both.
