Set Up Universal Preferences for NextGen Population Health Single Sign-On

You can set up the Universal Preferences for NextGen Population Health Single Sign-On so that the users can access NextGen Populaton Health website from NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open System Administrator. Select View > Universal Preferences. The NextGen Preferences window opens. From the left pane, select Population Health. The list of preferences appear on the right pane. In the Certificate Path field, select the path where the security certificate for PHS Single Sign-On is stored. In the NextGen Population Health Production URL field, enter the NextGen Population Health URL. In the PHS Gateway field, enter the lambda name which is used to communicate details between NextGen® Enterprise EHR and NextGen Population Health. In the Tenant field, enter the tenant name. Accessing Population Health Sync from NextGen® Enterprise EHR

If your enterprise is enrolled in Population Health Sync, you can access data from it directly within NextGen® Enterprise EHR as well as from the NextGen® Population Health and Analytics Solutions (formerly EagleDream Health) website. Population Health Sync extracts patient data for analysis from NextGen® Enterprise EHR every 48 hours by default. An internal Application Program Interface (API) passes the analytical data from Population Health Sync to NextGen® Enterprise EHR for display. This data is displayed in the Insights Viewer window. Population Health Sync works at the enterprise level. The same data for a patient is provided to all practices within your enterprise that are configured for Population Health Sync reporting. You can access NextGen Care® Population Management Hub from the View menu in NextGen® Enterprise. You must have a license for NextGen Care® Population Management Hub and access permission to access the application from the View menu. Note: In System Administrator, if Access Rights for NextGen Care® Population Management Hub is set to No, the NextGen Care Population Management Hub option is not available in the View menu. Enter Population Health Global Settings

The first time you set up Population Health Sync reporting in NextGen® Enterprise EHR, you must enter global system settings for it in Enterprise Preferences. These settings apply to all enterprises in NextGen® Enterprise EHR who use Population Health Sync. The settings are retained and do not need to be entered again. To obtain the global settings values, contact your Population Health Sync support team. The information may be sent to you by email or instant messaging. Under Population Health Settings > Global Settings, enter the values. To save the global settings before you enter the credential settings, select OK.
