NextGen® Enterprise EHR
and select a patient.
Choose the image on the
Encounter History
or
Categories
tab.
Double-click the image.
The Imaging module opens the selected image in the work area.

Add an Existing Image to the Patient Chart
NextGen® Enterprise EHR enables you to add an image to the patient chart. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR and select a patient. Select an existing encounter from the Encounter History or create an encounter. To open the Images module, do one of the following: On the Top Toolbar, select the Images icon. On the main menu, select File > New > Image. The Open Image File window opens. Open Image File Window Select an image from the list of available files, and then select the Open button. Note: If the selected image is too large for the available memory during NextGen® Enterprise EHR import, a prompt appears indicating insufficient memory. In such cases, you are given the option to resize the image for display. The Imaging module displays the selected image. Parent topic: Opening the Imaging Module

Add a Web Camera Image to the Patient Chart
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR and select a patient. Select an existing encounter from the Encounter History or create an encounter. To open the Images module, do one of the following: On the Top Toolbar, select the Images icon. On the main menu, select File > New > Image. The Open Image File window opens. Select the Camera button.The Camera Capture window opens. The system searches for connected cameras. If it finds one, the image from the camera is displayed. If no camera is present, the window remains blank. To capture the displayed image, select Snapshot. To add the image to the patient chart, select OK.The image is added to the patient's chart. Scan an Image to Add to the Patient Chart
Before you begin Ensure that you have access to a scanner and have scanning software on the workstation. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR and select a patient. Select an existing encounter from the Encounter History or create an encounter. To open the Images module, do one of the following: On the Top Toolbar, select the Images icon. On the main menu, select File > New > Image. The Open Image File window opens. Select either the Scan One or Scan All button.The Select Source window opens. Select the scanner name, and select Select.The Imaging module and your scanner's software window opens. To scan the image, follow the on-screen instructions on scanner window.After completion of scanning , the image appears in the Imaging module. Open PDFs
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR and select a patient. Select a specific encounter. To open the Images module, do one of the following: On the Top Toolbar, select the Images icon. On the main menu, select File > New > Image. The Open Image File window opens. Select a PDF from the list of available files, and then do one of the following: Double-click the file. Access the Graphing Module
In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, open a patient. For more information on opening a patient, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Patient Demographics Guide for NextGen Enterprise. From the File menu, select Graph. View Patient Chart in NextGen® Enterprise EHR
You can select and view a patient's chart in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. You can view a patient's chart in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Note: In System Administrator, if Access Rights for Chart/Recalls/Tasking is set to No, then you cannot access Chart on the NextGen Care® Population Management Hub toolbar. For more information about setting access permissions for viewing Chart in NextGen Care® Population Management Hub, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest System Administrator Guide forNextGen®Enterprise. In NextGen Care® Population Management Hub, do one of the following: From the Cohorts tab, run a report. From the My Lists tab, run a list. From the Appointment Book tab, filter the patients. The patient list appears in the patient grid. In the patient grid, select the check box next to the patient's name. From Chart, select EHR Chart.
