Family Unit

The Family Unit module enables you to group patients together under a certain name or category. You can use this module in a number of different ways, from grouping family members to grouping patients undergoing a selected study. NextGen® Enterprise EHR allows an unlimited number of family units, as well as an unlimited number of members in each unit. A patient can be a member of one or more units at the same time. Overview of the Main Window

The NextGen® Enterprise EHR main window components include the Title Bar, Main Menu, Top Toolbar, Patient Information Card, Quick Buttons panel, Encounter History/Categories view panel, and calendars. Categories

The Categories tab in EHR displays information in specific categories to provide easier access to patient information. The images, templates, documents, and NG DM images are grouped into separate categories based on user-level configuration. You can expand or collapse the Categories along with the Encounter History tab using the button. Note: The system retains the user's last preference. The Categories tab includes the following components: Open Template Creates a template and adds it to the categories. Filter By Displays the list of categories for specified parameters. List View Displays the list of existing documents without grouping. Tree View Displays the list of existing documents with category grouping. All Displays all the documents, images, or files associated with the selected patient based on the practice set up by default. NextGen® Enterprise EHR layout comprises menus and toolbars such as Title bar, Main menu, Top toolbar, and Status bar. You can set the user preferences and work with patient encounters and categories. You can also view the calendars and icons, and access the Alerts module, if the Patient Information Card (PIC) is enabled. The PIC in NextGen® Enterprise EHR provides the following information.
