Submit Patient's Medication History Consent
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from Patient Lookup window. Open Medications module. Do one of the following: Select Medication History. From the Main menu, select Tools > Medication History Consent. If the patient has not given consent, the Medication History Consent window opens. Medication History Consent Select one of the following patient's consent response: Has not been requested Yes No Expired Withdrawn Select an expiry date or time period. Medication History Consent In the Memo field, enter notes.The maximum number of characters that you can enter in the Memo field is 255. Select Accept. Parent topic: Medication History Consent

View Patient Consent History
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from Patient Lookup window. Open Medications module. Do one of the following: Select Medication History. From the Main menu, select Tools > Medication History Consent. The Medication History Consent window opens. Medication History Consent Select Show History. Medication History Consent
Patients have to provide medication history consent if providers need to view the medications which patients are taking or have taken. If you access a patient's medication history for the first time or if the patient's existing consent has expired, the Medication History Consent window opens for you to submit the patient's medication history consent. Medication History Consent Note: The Patient Medication History details is new for versions 5.9.0 and 5.9.1. Access a Patient's Consent
Select or add a patient. Open the Privacy Consent window: In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, do one of the following: Select Privacy Consent from the File menu. Select the Privacy Consent link in the Patient Demographics template. Select the Privacy Consent button in the Privacy tab of the Add/Modify Patient Information window. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select the Privacy Consent button in the Privacy tab of the Add/Modify Patient Information window. The Privacy Consent window opens. The left pane of the window displays any external system icons. If a message appears, stating that the patient's chart is protected from sharing data in one or more practices, then choose one of the following responses: To enable Enterprise Chart, and set and save the enterprise-level consent policy to Do Not Share in the patient's chart, select Yes. Open the Medication Review Template
You can access the Medication Review template to review the medication. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Intake template, expand the Medications panel. To open the Medication Review template, select Reconcile.
