If the selected patient has single formulary coverage and the selected medication is not covered, the Formulary Coverage error message appears. You can respond to this error message as follows: To continue submitting the medication, select Yes. eRx Validation

A prescription cannot be submitted electronically if the selected medication exceeds one of the following National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) SCRIPT Standard limits: The patient's first name or last name has more than 70 characters. The patient's street address or prescriber's street address has more than 40 characters. The SIG, including the as needed reason, has more than 1000 characters. The Non-Clinical Notes to Pharmacy (comments) has more than 210 characters. A prescription cannot be submitted electronically if the selected medication does not contain any of the following for ePrescribing: SIG Code Unit code Numeric quantity value When the NCPDP SCRIPT Standards are not met and you try to submit a prescription electronically, eRx Validation error message appears. On the error message, you can either select Fax to send the prescription or select Close and Fix to resolve the errors before sending the prescription. Cancel an Electronic Prescription

Before you begin You must enable Yes for eRx Permissions Practice Rights access in System Administrator. You must be enrolled for Cancel Rx service level in File Maintenance. Only pharmacies with the Cancel Rx service level can receive cancellation messages Pharmacy must participate in receiving Cancel Rx requests. You can send a Cancel Rx request to a pharmacy. If a medication was prescribed over two years ago, you can only stop or mark a medication as ineffective and cannot send a Cancel Rx request. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open Medications module. Select an active medication prescribed less than two years ago. The Last Audit column must have the eRx value. Select Cancel Rx. A message appears indicating that the medication has been cancelled and a cancellation message will be sent to the pharmacy. Select OK. The medication becomes inactive and a cancellation message is sent to the participating pharmacy. The Stop Date is updated in the Inactive grid and the Cancel Rx option beco

Delete a Medication

You can delete any medication that was prescribed to a patient. Depending on your system settings, you may be required to select a reason that explains why you are deleting a previously prescribed medication. When applicable, the system sends a CancelRx notification to the pharmacy to ensure the prescription is not unintentionally dispensed to the patient. In the medications list, highlight the medication that you want to delete. Select Delete. A message informs you that a CancelRx message may be sent to the pharmacy and a deletion reason may be required. Select Yes to confirm deleting the selected medication. If deletion reasons are required for previously prescribed medications, the Deletion Reason Selection window opens. Deletion Reason Selection Select a reason for the deletion, and then select OK. If the medication was previously sent to a pharmacy and the prescriber is enrolled in the Cancel Rx service level, the Cancel Medication window displays a message to inform you a CancelR
