Process Items in the EHR Section

The EHR section displays clinical items from the patient's chart based on the Import tab selected (Medications, Medication Allergies, and so on). For each item listed you can choose to perform an action. Select the type of clinical data you want to reconcile. Process items in the Import section. Select the item you want to reconcile. Items to Reconcile Select an item in the Action column. Selecting an Action Select one of the following actions action (if any) to perform: Keep - No action is taken. Stop - Stop a medication. Delete - Delete the item from the patient's chart. Resolve - Resolve a medication allergy or problem. By default, all clinical items in the EHR section have a default action of Keep. Note: You cannot delete a clinical item in a locked encounter or added by another practice in the enterprise (namely, enterprise chart). Match/Unmatch clinical items as needed. Process Items in the Import Section

The Import section displays the clinical data available for import based on the Import tab selected (Medications, Medication Allergies, and so on). For each item listed you can choose to perform an action. All items in the Import section have a default action of Add if they do not exist or match to an item in the patient’s chart. If the Clinical Reconciliation module determines that an item in both the EHR and Import sections match, it sets the Import action to Ignore automatically. Select the type of clinical data you want to reconcile. Select the item you want to reconcile. Items to Reconcile To view additional clinical information, slide the scroll bar at the bottom of the Import section right. Select a column header to sort data in ascending/descending order. Confirm Changes

Once you have decided which actions to perform you must confirm your changes for each clinical data type (Medications, Medication Allergies, and so on). Once you confirm your changes, the Clinical Reconciliation module updates the patient's chart. It does not update the information in the Import section or the imported document. Reconcile Clinical Data

The Import tab enables you to review clinical data stored in a patient's chart and reconcile the data with contents of an imported document or of a patient medication history file. Note: The following procedure shows the basic steps for performing reconciliation. Detailed procedures appear later in this section. Open the Clinical Reconciliation module from NextGen® Enterprise EHR, the Data Share module, or the Medical Summary Utility and then select a document. Select the Import tab. For an overview of the screen layout, refer to Layout of the Import Tab. Under the Import tab, there is a second set of clinical data tabs. The reconcile a particular type of clinical data, select the corresponding tab, such as Medications, Meds Administered, and so on. If you opened Clinical Reconciliation from a specific module, such as Medications or Problems, then Clinical Reconciliation displays only the tab corresponding to that module. Layout of the Clinical Reconciliation Results Tab

The Results tab displays the Provider and Patient information section, EHR section, Import section, and Reconciliation Summary section. Results Tab in Clinical Reconciliation The EHR section displays information stored in the patient's chart and the result appears only if it has the result value and the status is final or corrected. The orders are grouped with the order number, encounter date and time and have a two-level hierarchy that is for the panel and the component. Note: The Lab order type results appears in the EHR section. The source is Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA) in the EHR section, if you perform any actions like add and replace because these are the records from C-CDA. If you add any results which are of status final or corrected, then the status appears with provider name along with performing entity for source. One-Click Reconciliation

The one-click reconciliation feature enables you to import data from within the Custom View tab for the CDA that is currently open. This feature satisfies Meaningful Use Stage 3 rule §170.315(b)(2), "Clinical Information Reconciliation," including the ability to Simultaneously display the data from an external system and existing data in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Create a single reconciled list for each clinical data category, including medications, medication allergies, and problems. Review and validate the accuracy of a final set of data. The Custom View displays a Reconcile (reconcile) button next to each section heading and each individual item that is eligible for import. By hovering or clicking this button, you can open the one-click reconciliation window and confirm the import of selected items. The one-click reconciliation feature does not replace the full Clinical Reconciliation module, which continues to be available on the Import tab. One-click reconciliation is suitable for
