Manually Create Content Exclusions
In the Data Share pane, select Open the Data Share Settings Slider Open the Data Share Settings Slider, then select Configure Content Exclusion List. The DSM Exclusion window opens. DSM Exclusion Window Select an external system. The content exclusions apply only to exports to the selected external system. Select a tab for one of the categories of clinical data: Medications, Diagnoses, Problems, or Procedures. A message appears if you do not have permission to configure the selected type of clinical data, The needed permission can be configured in System Administrator. In Enter code/description to search, enter one of the following types of values: For medications, use a full or partial NDC number, brand name, or generic name. For diagnoses, use a full or partial ICD-9 or ICD-10 code or description. For problems, use a full or partial SNOMED-CT® code or description. Excluding Sensitive Data from Export
In the Data Share module, you can exclude sensitive patient clinical information (medications, diagnoses, problems, and procedures) when exporting Continuity of Care Document (CCD) and Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA) documents. You can specify which types of data are sensitive using the NDC, ICD-9, ICD-10, SNOMED-CT®, and CPT®4 code sets. You must define the exclusions relative to a given external system because the needs for different external systems may vary. The set of codes in the NextGen® Enterprise database is subject to change each time you run one of the utilities in the following table. After running any of these utilities, you should determine whether you want to add any of the new codes to the exclusion list in the Data Share module. You can create content exclusions manually in the Data Share module user interfaces. You can also import and export content exclusion lists. Select Patient Documents for Export
You can export a .pdf file of selected patient documents to NextGen® Enterprise Rosetta Interface Messenger, to your local disk, or to the patient NextGen® PxP Portal account. From the Patient Lookup window, open an enrolled patient and open the patient record. From the File menu, select Export Patient Documents. The Export Patient Documents window opens with a list of the patient encounters and any attached documents. Sensitive Encounters are identified by a Sensitive Encounter icon on the left. To add items from Available Documents to Documents to be Exported, do one of the following: To add a single document, expand the encounter it is in, select the item, and select the right button. To add all documents, select the Move All button. To remove items from Documents to be Exported, do one of the following: To remove a single document, select it and then select the left button. Select Clinical Information to Export
You can select clinical data for inclusion in an exported document by using the Clinical Information pane on the Export tab. Clinical Information Pane To export data from a single encounter, select that encounter in the Encounter History tab.In the Clinical Information pane, the Selected Encounter display updates the date and time of the selected encounter. Select one of the following export types: Encounter Level: Include all data in the currently selected encounter. Encounter Level + Clinical Context: Include all data in the currently selected encounter, plus any related items from other encounters that are required for Meaningful Use and Advancing Care Information. Longitudinal: Include all data in all encounters for the patient. Section Level: Select which types of clinical data sections are included, either for the selected encounter or for all the patient's encounters. Using the Data Share Module to Import and Export Clinical Data
You can use the Data Share module, a feature of NextGen® Enterprise EHR, to import and export Continuity of Care Document (CCD) and Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA) files to and from designated folders and exchange clinical information with other providers, patients, and institutions such as regional health information organizations (RHIOs) and the Health Information Systems Program (HISP). This Data Share module serves the same function as the Medical Summary Utility but provides a simpler user interface and superior performance. The Medical Summary Utility continues to be available, but its use is deprecated. An earlier version of the Data Share module provided access only to the NextGen® Share Carequality Service. The old version is still available for the convenience of existing users.
