IEM User Interface Versions

Starting with5.9.2020.1, an updated version of the Integrated Equipment Module user interface (UI) is available. The updated UI has improved usability and also adds support for Midmark version 10, but does not support most Midmark version 8 devices. The only Midmark version 8 device supported by the updated UI is Stress ECG. The previous UI continues to provide support for Midmark version 8, but does not support Midmark version 10. You can use either UI for non-Midmark devices.

By default, Integrated Equipment module runs using the previous UI so as to continue support for clients who are using Midmark version 8.

The NextGen Implementation Team is responsible for installing and configuring the equipment interfaces. Contact NextGen Healthcare Support if you need to move to the updated UI or fall back to the previous UI.

Note: All the instructions and examples assume that you are using the updated UI for IEM. If you are using the previous UI, then follow the instructions in the 5.9.1 version of this guide.
