Access the Graphing Module
In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, open a patient. For more information on opening a patient, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Patient Demographics Guide for NextGen Enterprise. From the File menu, select Graph. Generate a Graph for Order Results
You can generate a graph based on information for specific orders. For the graph to display, data must exist in the appropriate order results fields. If the fields do not contain data, no data is displayed in the graph. For more information about working with order results, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Orders Module User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the patient to graph order results for. From the File menu, select Graph and then Orders Results. The Graph Orders Results window opens. Select the order result to graph, and then select OK. Save a Medical Records Template Chart to an Encounter
You can save a Medical Records template graph or a growth chart to the patient encounter on the Encounter History tab. After it is saved, you can open it and select options to print, fax, annotate, or export it, or add a signature. If the patient is enrolled in NextGen® PxP Portal, you can export the saved graph to the patient NextGen® PxP Portal account for easy retrieval by the patient, parent, or guardian. You can also view NextGen® PxP Portal document export and receipt history for a graph. Open the patient to save the graph for to an encounter. Generate a Medical Records template or growth chart. Right-click the graph or growth chart (shown in example below), and select Save to Chart. The graph is saved under the selected encounter on the Encounter History tab and is visible when you expand the encounter.

Generate a Graph from a Medical Records Template
You can generate a graph for a NextGen® Enterprise EHR Medical Records template associated with a patient encounter. For the graph to display properly, numeric data must exist in the template fields. If fields do not contain data, no data is displayed in the graph. As the graph is being generated, NextGen® Enterprise EHR displays a warning if a field does not contain data. Data can only be added or revised in template fields in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Your system administrator creates and modifies templates using Template Editor. Growth Charts
Growth charts depict a patient growth up to 20 years of age in relation to weight, height, weight for length, head circumference, and Body Mass Index (BMI). This type of graph is used by pediatric doctors to record growth of a child. Growth charts can be generated from NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine and custom NextGen® Enterprise EHR templates and have specific preferences and options. Generate a Growth Chart from the File Menu
Before you begin Make sure that you have set up Graphing preferences that correspond to the template and field values that data are graphed from. To generate a specialty growth chart, set up the applicable preference for Gestational Age (premature patients), Down Syndrome Indicator, or Turner Syndrome Indicator. To graph a growth chart using a measurement date instead of an encounter date, enter the Measurement Date Column preference. You can also set up preferences to Print Patient Name, Print Patient Date of Birth, and Print Chart Print Time on the generated growth chart. Open the pediatric patient's history in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select Graph, Growth Charts. Select one of the following: BMI Height Weight Head Circum Weight for Length NextGen® Enterprise EHR plots the graph for the selected growth chart using template data from all of the patient's encounters.
