Generate Asthmatic Report of Patients Who Smoke or are Exposed to Second Hand Smoke

This report needs to identify patients with a specific diagnosis who have a documented concern or risk. In this case, the report should display patients who are diagnosed with Asthma and either smoke or are exposed to second hand smoke. To create this report, you would filter the data by accessing the following modules or options from the Report Filter Settings List: Templates (for example, Social_History, Tobacco_usage) Provider (for example, All) Diagnosis (for example, Asthma) Enterprise (for example, All practices) Filter (for example, selected Social History template fields) After making all of your filtering and data selection choices, generate the report. Report Filter Examples

The Report Filter enables you to create simple or complex reports. From the Report Filter, you can: Select a module or option from the Settings List to filter module and patient data. Select a combination of modules or options from the Report Filter Settings List to filter module and patient data. Select additional informational and display options, including sorting, columns, and customizing the header or footer, prior to saving and/or generating a report. Select Reports Totals

Reports can include column totals in the form of sums, averages, or counts. For example, you could select Reports Totals to count the number of prescribed medicines for pediatric patients who are taking a specific medication type under the age of 18. Note: You should select Totals as the last step before you save and generate the report. Select Totals from the Report Filter Settings List. Report Filter Set the totals you want to use for the appropriate columns. To view the report data in alternate shading, select Alternate Shading. Note: The alternate shading pattern does not display when you print the report. Select Save. Note: Saving the report before generating is optional. To generate the report, select OK. Setting Report Columns and Filters

Reports have columns and filters that you can use to customize the data and format. The filter criteria available to you depend on the report you are creating. Once you've set your report filters, you can memorize it (see Memorizing Reports) so the report is readily available at any time. You can modify reports by: Adding and removing columns. Selecting different sorting and grouping orders. Selecting new ways of totaling the columns. Modifying the criteria used for each report that you generate, such as specific date ranges for a particular rendering physician. Some common elements display in the Report Filter window for each report. For example, all filters have similar filter options in the Settings List such as Columns, Filter 1, Filter 2, and Sorting. If a filter option is not available, then it does not apply to the report. Open Report Filter In Report Filter, you can set your report criteria, such as date ranges and statuses. Select Medication Data

Select Medication from the Report Filter Settings List. Report Filter Select to prompt the Medication Search window. Medication Search Select the type of search: DEA Class, Class or Name. Enter the search criteria. Select whether to include Generics and/or Retired medications. Clear the Active Medication check box if you wish to include all available medications. Select Search. Select the desired medications. Select OK. The medications display in Medication Search pane on the Medications window. Report Filter Select whether to Include or Exclude displayed medications. Select whether to display only the patients Who Have Never Had or Who Have Ever Had before or after a specific date or between a specific date range or Who Have Not Had Since a specific date. Selecting Data and Generating Reports

You can select and filter various types of data to create your custom reports, including Clinical data (allergy, diagnosis, medication, procedure), Orders data (such as lab results), Templates data, and Patient data. You can select data to generate more complex reports, such as logical groups and stored procedures. For additional informational and for presentation purposes, you can select options on the Report Filter Settings List such as Sorting and Totals. Once the data is selected, you can generate the report. CAUTION: Selecting OK on the Report Filter generates the report. Therefore, when navigating between different modules or options when creating a report, do not select OK from the Report Filter window until you have selected all filters, data, report display options, and columns.
