Enter Radiology Test Results Manually

Radiology test results can be entered with NextGen Clinical Mesage Manager and an interface agent, or you can enter them manually. You must have permission to add results. On the Orders Summary tab, select an order. To expand the Results panel, select the Results down arrow. Select the New Document and Images Results Entry tab. Browse to the path that contains the desired diagnostic image, select the image, and then select OK. Note: This path for images can be defined with the System Administrator > Universal Preferences > Images > Image Path. To collapse the Results panel, select the Results up arrow. New Results Entry Tab

The New Results Entry tab provides the following toolbar options. Option Description New Result When selected, creates a new result to associate with the selected order. Refresh Refreshes the results list. Clear Clears the results list. Delete Deletes a selected result. Save Saves the new result created here. Formatted Results Tab

The Formatted Results tab provides the following toolbar options. Option Description Show Normal (N) Results Flag When selected, normal results are marked with a flag. Show compressed results When selected, additional information appears such as LOINC code, performing entity, medical director or specimen. MU Compatible Make the format of the results Meaningful Use (MU) compatible. Refresh Refresh the results display. Print Print the order results. A print preview is available. Fax Fax results to the selected phone number. Full Screen Toggles full screen mode on and off. Copy Copies selected text. Select All Selects all text shown in the results. Sending Lab Results to NextGen Enterprise Patient Portal

Sending lab results to the NextGen® PxP Portal from the NextGen® Enterprise EHR Orders module gives patients timelier access to their lab results and enables you to process lab results more efficiently. To send lab results to NextGen® PxP Portal, your practice must be enrolled in NextGen Enterprise Patient Portal, and only patients with a completed enrollment status can receive results. If your practice is not set up to use NextGen® PxP Portal, the Patient Portal button is hidden in the Results panel. If your practice is set up to use NextGen Enterprise Patient Portal, and the patient has not yet completed enrollment, the Patient Portal button is unavailable. Note: Lab results marked as Confidential cannot be sent to NextGen® PxP Portal. You can send lab order results from the Orders module with the following statuses: Signed off. Final. Using the Results Panel

You can perform the following actions in the Results panel on the Orders Summary tab: Enter test results coming in with an interface using the Formatted Results, Grid Results, or Documents, Images, and URLs tabs. Manually enter results using the New Results Entry tab. Manually enter related documents using the New Document and Images Entry tab. View and add tracking comments. Send lab results to NextGen® PxP Portal. The actions available on the Results panel toolbar change depending on which type of results are being viewed or created. View Lab Results

Before you begin You must ensure that you have the necessary access rights in System Administrator for the Orders Module. For more information on user access rights, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest System Administrator Guide forNextGen®Enterprise. You can view the results of a patient's laboratory tests. Additionally, you can open the Orders Module and view the order details associated with a result. For more information on the Orders Module, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Orders Module User Guide forNextGen®Enterprise EHR. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window.
