Find Attributes Window

The finding attributes window enables you to view and enter values for the attributes assigned to the finding annotation. You can select a procedure or lab action if these action types are predefined in the profile. If a default action appears in the Findings Grid, you can select another action. If there is no default action, you can add an action to the Findings Grid. If the Display Popup option was enabled in the profile, the finding attributes window opens automatically when you annotate a finding on an image. To open the window manually, right-click the finding row in the Findings Grid, and select Modify. The window title is the name of the finding. The window is populated with any values predefined in the profile. You can move this window to any location on your window. Parent topic: Manage Attribute Values

The Location, Region, and Name for the annotation area are set by Graphical Exam Tool (GET) and cannot be changed. You can enter attribute values in two ways, do one of the following: In the Findings Grid, select the attribute cell, and do one of the following, based on the attribute type: Enter the value. To display an input window, select an Ellipsis button (for example, diagnosis search window). To increase or decrease a numeric value, select Up or Down Arrow button. Graphical Exam Tool Annotations

The Graphical Exam Tool (GET) enables you to: Place annotations on images to document the location of findings. The placement of the annotations is converted into text and captured as an attribute of the finding. The attributes are saved to the patient's chart. For example, a dermatologist can place findings for cancer on an image. The attributes related to each finding can include size, color, location, or description. Attach a finding to a chief complaint or reason for visit. You can attach multiple findings to different reasons for visit. Mark a finding for follow-up and create a to-do task for the finding. Attach an image (photo or drawing) to a finding. The image can be from the provider's file system or from the patient's chart for the current encounter. You can capture an image from a web cam or other video device for attachment to the finding. Create and update a lab, radiology, or immunizations order for a finding. Update Existing Descriptions

The Graphical Exam Tool (GET) allows you to update existing descriptions of patient images with the finding name and region description when they get attached to findings. The image description for each finding is unique. The finding with the same name and region is updated as Finding Name - Region Description(x) , where x increases the image description starting from 2. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient. Select an existing encounter or create an encounter. On the Encounter History or Categories tab, select any image. The image opens. On the main toolbar, select Save. The Save Image File window opens. Enter the Image Description, select the Save image as, and select OK. The image is saved to the patients chart. Open the template that contains the GET component. The GET component window opens. Annotate an Image

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient. Select an existing encounter from the Encounter History or create an encounter. Open the template that contains the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) component. The GET component window opens. The findings and exam tools are displayed for the selected location and provider in GET component. Note: The GET template can be opened in NextGen® Enterprise EHR without selecting the Reason for Visit. From the REASON FOR VISIT pane, select the reason for visit that you want to attach the finding. To change profile settings, select Settings from the Options and Settings Popup Menu . The Graphical Exam Tool - Settings window opens. Note: To edit profile settings, you must have the Operations Right for Administration > Edit EHR Component Profiles enabled in the System Administrator. Select the tab that contains the image you want to annotate first. The tab for the first image appears by default. Adjust the view or manipulate the image using the image toolbar

Add a Procedure to Findings in the Derm_Exam Profile

On the GET template, select the icon. The Options and Setting menu opens. From the menu, select Settings. The Graphical Exam Tool -Settings window opens. Select the Profiles tab. In the Profiles pane select derm_exam. The properties for the derm_exam profile appear in the Properties pane. In Settings, select Findings and then select the ellipsis button. The derm_exam window opens and displays the defined findings for the profile in the Members pane. The currently used findings columns are indicated by a check. Click the finding to which you need to add the procedure.The properties for the selected finding appear on the right. In Settings, click Procedures and then click the ellipsis button.The available procedures for the selected finding appear in the Members pane. The procedures currently assigned to this finding are selected. Note: The selected procedures appear on a selection list. During runtime, you can right-click a Findings grid record, and select Modify, and select the Action
