Un-Enroll a Provider from ePrescribing Services

You can remove a provider from the ePrescribing services. You can only un-enroll the providers who are enrolled in retail or mail order for the practice listed in the upper-left corner of the File Maintenance desktop. NextGen File Maintenance In File Maintenance, from Master Files > System, select Providers. The Providers List window opens. Double-click a provider. The Modify Provider Information window opens. On the Modify Provider Information window, select the ePrescribing tab. In the Networks section, select open menu > Retail or Mail-Order > Un-enroll. The eRx Message Submission window states that the request has been submitted and you can check the status in a few minutes. Select OK. The value for SureScripts Provider ID (SPI) or Mail Order Prescriber ID is removed from the system and the value for Un-enrollment Date changes to the current date. Parent topic: Provider Enrollment

Update Provider Enrollment

You can update a provider's enrollment with retail or mail-order networks. An update might be necessary if information was entered incorrectly or if some of the information has changed. In File Maintenance, from Master Files > System, select Providers. The Providers List window opens. Double-click a provider. The Modify Provider Information window opens. On the Modify Provider Information window, select the ePrescribing tab. In the Networks section, select open menu > Retail or Mail-Order > Update. The eRx Message Submission window opens. Select OK. Enter Provider Details for Enrolling with Surescripts Network

To enroll a provider, you must enter all required information in the Practices and Providers master files. The information entered is sent to Surescripts and used to verify the provider's identity. After the information is verified, the provider is assigned a Surescripts Provider ID (SPI). A default enrollment period of five years is automatically created. If required, you can modify the enrollment period in the Surescripts Enrollment Period (years) universal preference before you enroll the provider. In File Maintenance, from Master Files > System > EHR , select Practices. The Practices List window opens. Double-click the practice you want to enroll the provider. The Modify Practice Information window opens. Update Provider Enrollment

You can update a provider's enrollment with Retail or Mail Order networks. An update might be necessary if information was entered incorrectly or if some of the information has changed. To update a provider's enrollment: Access File Maintenance. Open a provider from the Provider master file. Select the ePrescribing tab. Under Networks, select the Open Menu button. Select Retail or Mail Order, and then select Update. The eRx Message Submission window displays. Select OK. Within a few minutes, the values update to reflect any changes that took place. Provider Enrollment

To use the ePrescribing feature, providers must be enrolled with the correct service provider. Provider enrollment is practice specific. For example, a provider enrolled in Practice A is not automatically enrolled in Practice B because details such as address or NPI number can be different for each practice. Resolve Issues

You must resolve all issues to use ePrescribing with NextGen® Enterprise EHR, 8 and to migrate to the Surescripts 2017071 compatible standard. All potential enrollment issues must be resolved before using ePrescribing. Log on to File Maintenance. From Master Files, select System > EHR. Select Providers. The Providers List window opens. Double-click the provider. The Modify Provider Information window opens. Select the appropriate tab and add or modify the information as necessary to resolve all potential issues associated with Surescripts migration to the latest standard. Select the ePrescribing tab. Ensure that the provider has all applicable Retail Service Levels selected. In the Networks section, select open menu . Select Retail > Enroll.
