View Encounter Information
NextGen® Enterprise EHR enables you to quickly view the contents of an encounter for a selected patient on the Encounter Details window. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from Patient Lookup window. Select an encounter and select the button to open the Encounter Details window. Select the respective link to view any document, template, module, or report associated with the encounter.The selected patient item opens in the main window of NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Note: If an encounter is locked, you can open the patient item in read-only format. You can update information for a locked encounter by creating an addendum or custom encounter. View RxChange Messages on Encounter History eRx Refill Request Notifications You can view an ePrescribing (eRx) refill request and respond to it. Encounter Options for Encounter History
The Encounter Options button on the Encounter History tab provides you quick access to configure the encounter. The Encounter Options comprises the following elements. Sensitivity Settings Lock encounter/Unlock encounter Delete Encounter Encounter Level Insurance Encounter Description / Remark Properties Case Note: Cases are hidden if the View Case Management Encounter Display check box is not selected in the user or practice preferences. Copy Virtual Visit URL Note: Copy Virtual Visit URL is hidden when Virtual Visit is not enabled for the selected encounter. Sensitive Encounters You can mark an encounter as sensitive.You can mark an encounter as no longer sensitive. Lock an Encounter You can lock an encounter to prevent any changes to a patient encounter. Unlock an Encounter You can unlock an encounter to allow others to make changes. Create a Group Encounter
You can group several patients into a group encounter. Note: To create a group encounter, make sure that at least one patient group has been created. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, from the File menu, select New > Group Encounter. The New Group Encounter window opens. Select a patient group. Note: By default, NextGen® Enterprise EHR creates all encounters as "clinical" only types. If you plan to add any medical information that requires billing data to be sent to NextGen® Enterprise PM, edit the encounter type to "clinical" and "billable" in the Encounter Maintenance window (accessed from the View menu, Properties) . Group encounters automatically add encounter-level Insurance to all patients who are members of the selected patient group. Select OK. A new group encounter with the current date is added in the encounter window. You can add any templates, documents, images, or other patient items to this group encounter. Manage Encounter History at Practice-Level
You can customize the appearance of the Encounter History at the practice level with System Administrator privileges. You can set patient’s encounter preferences for the encounter display, encounter filters, encounter component expansion, and inclusion of Case Management, if applicable. Encounters are identified by date and time, provider, and location. You can choose which information to include, its format, and its order. You can also choose to include remarks. Open File Maintenance. Under Master Files, select EHR, and then select Application Appearance. The EHR Application Appearance window opens displaying the preview of the Patient Information Card (PIC), Quick Buttons, Encounter History, and Categories for the Default configuration.
