Delegate PAQ Tasks

If you are an administrator or provider, you can assign delegates to sign off the following PAQ items: Documents, NextGen® Enterprise EHR Images, Template Notes, DM Images, Orders, Reports, and HIE Documents.

The Provider Approval Queue tab opens by default when you access the Work Flow Manager: Provider or Work Flow Manager: Administrator window.

  1. If the Provider Approval Queue tab is not in view on the Work Flow Manager: Provider or Work Flow Manager: Administrator window, select to open it.
The tab displays the names of any existing delegates. Check boxes show which PAQ item types a delegate is assigned to.
  2. To add a delegate, do the following
    1. Select the delegate from the Providers tab or Users tab in the Delegates section.
    2. To give the delegate daily access to the selected provider's PAQ items while the provider is in or out of the office, select Add for the Use Always section.
    3. To give the delegate access to the selected provider's PAQ items only when the provider is away, select Add for the Use Only When Out of the Office section.
The name of the delegate is added to the assigned section. Check boxes for the delegate appear under the columns for each PAQ item type. All check boxes are enabled by default.

  3. To take away delegation for a particular item, clear the applicable check box.
  4. To remove a delegate from the Use Always or Use Only When Out of the Office section, select the name of the delegate, and then select Remove for the respective section.
  5. To clear all delegates from the Use Always or Use Only When Out of the Office section, select Clear for the respective section.
  6. To switch the delegate assignment between the Use Always and Use Only When Out of the Office sections, select the name of the delegate to move, and then use the Up or Down arrow.
  7. When you finish the selecting delegates, select OK.
