Data Sheet Data Limit

Data sheets are prevented from loading more data than can be allocated. The limit is 200,000 cells of data including headers. If the data sheet exceeds the amount of data that can be displayed, an error message appears. Parent topic: Data Sheets

Increase the Length of a Text Field

Select a Text-type field that you want to increase the length for. The Data Entry Properties window opens. Enter or select the new length of the field in the Length box. Enter the number of characters you want to set as a maximum. The maximum length for a field (excluding the memo-type) is 1000 characters. Note: The maximum data size for a template is 7940 characters. The total data size is the sum of the length of all data entry fields. A message box appears when you try to add or modify fields and you have reached the maximum data size. To save your work and exit, select OK. Note: You cannot decrease the length of a field. MEMOLEN String Function

Use the FIELDLEN string function with the MEMOLEN function to return the remaining number of characters that can be entered in a memo-type data entry field. Syntax: {MEMOLEN( «string» )} Arguments: «string» Character string to be evaluated Returns: The number of characters in the given string Example: Field = txt_memo{template_name_.txt_memo} = 25 characters{MEMOLEN( {template_name_.txt_memo} )} Result: 25 Parent topic: Functions
