Add ICD Codes in a Favorites List

The frequently assigned ICD codes can be added to a favorites group. Open the Add Billing ICD window. Folder name The list of favorites displays under the Favorites menu in the Add Billing ICD window. Create a favorites list. Search for and select an ICD code. The system displays a list of search results. To add an ICD Code to your favorites list, select the diagnosis in the list of search results and drag it to the favorites list. All Diagnoses To view the contents of a favorites list, select the favorites list. The application displays the content of the favorites list in the search results panel. To delete a diagnosis/ICD code from the favorites list, right-click the diagnosis/ICD code and select Delete from Favorite Group. Open View/Add Synonyms Window in the Billing ICD List

When you right-click the Billing ICD code from the search results displayed in the diagnosis search window, the View/Add Synonyms menu item displays. The View/Add Synonym menu items enable you to access the View/Add Synonyms window for Billing ICD codes. In the Billing ICD List tab, select the Add ICD button. The Add Billing ICD window appears. Search for an ICD Billing code. In the list of search results, locate the Billing ICD Code to add a synonym to. Right-click the Billing ICD Code. The View/Add Synonyms menu item appears. Add an ICD to the ICD Billing List

The Add ICD option enables you to add a ICD code to the billing ICD list. Open Billing ICD List. On the Billing ICD List tab, select the Add ICD button. The Add Billing ICD window opens. Specify whether you want the Add Billing ICD window to search for ICD codes in the All Diagnoses list (default), the Patient's Diagnoses list, the Patient's Chronic Diagnoses list, a Favorites folder, or by Categories. Select Search. The application displays a list of search results. The most frequently assigned ICD code appears at the top of the list. ICD Legacy Mapping

ICD Legacy Mapping enables you to view ICD-10 General Equivalency Mapping (GEM) codes for an ICD-9 code. These code mappings are drawn from the ICD-9-to-ICD-10 xref table supplied by Health Language, Inc. (HLI), a third party content provider. The diagnosis search window may be set up to launch in the ICD Legacy Mapping mode, or you can select an option for this mode on the window. Enter the ICD-9 code in the text box at the top of the diagnosis search window. Select ICD Legacy Mapping in the left pane. Select Search, or select the Enter key. The search results grid displays each unique ICD-10 code mapped to the ICD-9 code, which is shown in the Legacy Icd Code column. Note: The results show only the display term description of each unique ICD code, not every synonym for it. To view ICD code synonyms, see step 4. Search All Diagnosis

Enter your search criterion in the text box at the top of the diagnosis search window. You can enter all or part of the clinical description, ICD code, or billing description. You can search for both ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes. You can enter a higher-level ICD code to display all of the associated lower-level ICD codes. Note: The search criterion may be populated from the trigger. You can change it, if necessary. If you search for ICD code 250.00, the search results include codes such as 250.01 or 250.02. Select All Diagnoses (default) in the left pane. Select Search, or select the Enter key. The search results grid displays the results that match your search criterion. Any results that match a diagnosis already on the patient’s diagnosis list display at the top followed by any results that match the provider’s most frequently assigned list. Add or Remove Diagnosis Codes

You can add or remove the diagnosis codes in the ICD-CM section on the Estimate Patient Cost window. When you add or remove diagnosis codes for existing estimates and submit the cost estimation, a cost estimate with a new cost estimation ID is created. Open the Estimate Patient Cost window for a person, patient, encounter, or appointment. In the ICD-CM section, select open record . The Diagnosis Selection window opens. In ICD-CM Codes, do one of the following to search for the desired diagnosis code. To search by code, select Code, and enter all or part of the code. To search by description, select Description, and enter all or part of the description of the code. Note: Select the Search for keyphrase anywhere in the diagnosis check box to list the codes that have the entered search criteria anywhere in the code or description.
