Reconcile a Single Item

Within each section, each item begins with an icon indicating the import status for that item. Import Status Icons Following are the icons that can appear, and the actions available for each. New New item. Select this button to open the one-click reconciliation window. Cannot Be Imported Item cannot be imported because it is missing critical data. Matched Item Item matched an item that is already in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To make any changes to this item, you must select the Import tab and use the full Clinical Reconciliation Module. Configure Permissions for Reconciliation

The one-click reconciliation feature is governed by the same permissions as the Clinical Reconciliation Module. These permissions are found in the Discrete Data Import subgroup of the Modules permissions group in the System Administrator. Under Discrete Data Import, the various categories of importable clinical data are listed, such as Allergies, Diagnoses, Family History, and so on. For each category, enable or disable rights for the user to View or Add items in that category. The Update, Delete, and Print rights have no impact on one-click reconciliation. Open the Full Reconciliation Module

You can use the full Clinical Reconciliation module rather than the one-click reconciliation feature for any of the following tasks: See the full set of data columns for each clinical item, rather than just the most commonly useful columns. Reconcile items from multiple Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) documents simultaneously. Reconcile resolved medications, allergies, or problems, not just the currently active items. Replace or delete any previously imported items. View reconciliation history. Perform One-Click Reconciliation

After you have clicked on or hovered over the reconcile button in the heading for a section, the Reconcile All New <Items> window opens. The New <Items> pane shows the items that are available for import. Initially, the action for each item is set to Add, which means the item will be imported. Note: The titles of the window and the individual panes vary to reflect which C-CDA section you are reconciling. For example, if you are reconciling the Allergies section, the window title is Reconcile All New Allergies, and the upper right pane is named New Allergies. Actions for New Items To change the action for a new item, select the value in the Action column, and selectAdd or Ignore. Selecting the Action for a New Item After you have finalized your selection, select Confirm to import the selected items. The items that you removed from the selection are marked as ignored. Resolve Duplicate Items

If an item that you selected for import resembles an item that is already present in NextGen® Enterprise EHR, a Potential Duplication message appears. Either select Yes to add the item or select No to reset the item's action to Ignore. The application processes the selected changes and displays a message that the selected changes were saved successfully. Select OK to acknowledge the message. The Reconcile window appears when you select Reconcile (reconcile) for a section or an individual item. Optionally, you can change this behavior so the Reconcile window also appears if you hover over the Reconcile (reconcile) button for a second. To enable this behavior, Run the System Administrator and set the Custom Viewer Import on Hover option to True in the General Options section of the Universal Preferences.For instructions on how to modify Universal Preferences, refer to the System Administrator Universal Preferences appendix or see the System Administrator Guide for NextGen® Enterprise on the NextGen Healthcare Success Community.
