Completed Results Information
The Results tab provides the following information for completed test results:
- The tests are listed in alphabetical order on the left.
- For each test, the Results tab displays Collection date and time columns showing each specimen collection date and time. An asterisk (*) indicates that the specimen collection date and time were not available so the creation time of the order was used. The columns are sorted starting with the most recent results, from left to right. Columns are re-sizable.
- The rows with bold text and gray shading indicate result history.
- An underline in the results indicates a comment.
- Color on a result indicates abnormal results.
- The Flags field (abnormal/normal flag) determines the text color of a cell. Red numbers indicate results returned higher than the normal range; Blue numbers indicate results lower than the normal range. Magenta numbers indicate abnormal findings. Cells with Black text indicate the value is within the normal range. Cells with a Grey background show a test with multiple results. These flags are not determined by NextGen Healthcare but are sent by the lab.
- A <blank> cell indicates that the result did not contain a value. However, a <blank> can also indicate a comment for that cell in the Result Comments field. If it has an underline, comments are associated with the result.
- If a patient has multiple results for the same date and time, the cell background is gray and a note appears. Selecting a gray cell fills the history field with all of the results. In the Results history section, the multiple results appear in reverse chronological order, that is, the most recent results appear first.
- If multiple results are returned for the same test at different times, such as preliminary and final results, they are added to history. You can view these results from the Results history list at the bottom of the Results tab. If there are results in history, the number of results appears next to the list. A message appears if there are no results in history.
- You can add and view order result comments using the Tracking feature.
- You can create a graph of multiple order results for a test.
