Clear Template Data

Select a patient. Open the applicable template. From the NextGen® Enterprise EHR Menu bar, select Edit, and then select Clear. The Clear Template Fields window opens. Select Yes. All template fields are cleared. Clearing Radio Buttons Parent topic: Using Templates

Manage Clear Trigger

The Clear action clears all edit fields on a template at run time. Follow the applicable steps in General Trigger Setup. Select the Clear action to display the Clear window, which asks if you want to prompt. Select an option in response to Should the user be prompted during the execution of this trigger? To prompt the user to confirm the Clear action at run time, select Yes. If you do not want to prompt the user, select No. To set the prompt from a template field, select the Use Template Field option, and then select the field from the list. To save the information and close the window, select OK. If necessary, set up a specific condition for the Clear action to be triggered. To save the trigger and close the Trigger Info window, select OK. The trigger is listed in the Triggers window. Select OK and save your template. Parent topic: Setting up Specific Trigger

Attributes

Attributes enable you to define any number of attributes for a template field. The Template Editor provides the ability to set the values for each and every attribute for each template field. You can set up the template field attributes from the Tools menu. There are three types of attributes you can set up such as Boolean, List, and Whole Number. The added attribute values are stored in a template fields such as Data Entry, Check Box, and Radio Button. Attribute values set for one field reflects in other fields if it has same name. For example, attribute values set for one radio button field reflects for other radio button fields with the same name. You must set rights permissions under Rights > Operations > Template Editor – Allow Data Change > Template Editor – Attribute Editing in System Administrator. Search Trigger Values

You can search for specified values in conditions and parameters for selected types of triggers in the currently open template. The search values can include fields, variables, functions, characters, or other values. You can then select a trigger from the search results for editing. Do one of the following: To automatically populate the search value with a specific template field, either: Right-click the field, and then select Find in Triggers from the menu. Select the field, and then select Find in triggers on the Main toolbar. To manually enter the search value, select Find in Triggers on the Triggers window. The Find In Triggers window opens. If applicable, the search value box displays the selected field. The window contains check boxes for commonly used triggers and for conditions. The Conditions and Assign Field Value check boxes are selected by default. If the search value is blank or you want to change it, enter the value in the input box. Insert Radio Button

When you are logged in as KBM admin in Template Editor, you can modify the properties of NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine templates. You need to set the Universal Preference for Enable Radio Button Clearing to True in System Administrator to enable users to clear a selected radio button. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest System Administrator User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise. In Template Editor, drag Radio Button from the Fields toolbar to the template design area where you want to place it. The Insert Radio Button window opens.
