Modify an ICD in the ICD Billing List

You can modify or update a diagnosis that is not assigned to a Locked Encounter. If a problem is assigned to a Locked Encounter, you cannot make any modifications except to enter a Resolved Date. Select the patient's encounter that contains the problem to modify. Open Problems module. Select the Billing ICD List tab. Select the diagnosis. Enter changes. Select Save. Modify Locked Encounter Diagnoses in the Billing ICD List Duplicate a diagnoses for a locked encounter to modify it in the Billing ICD List. Billing ICD List

The billing ICD list displays all Resolved and Unresolved billing ICD entries for a patient's problems and the details entered for each billing ICD entry in tree-view format. You can expand or collapse a tree view using the relevant and buttons. You can also modify the data associated with each billing ICD entry. Billing ICD List Billing ICD List Toolbar The billing ICD list toolbar displays options that modify the list of billing ICD entries. Manage Billing ICD List Entries Modify and manage the entries in the Billing ICD List using the features displayed in the Billing ICD List Data Entry Area Toolbar. Billing ICD List Data Entry Area The billing ICD list data entry area provides the options to add or modify the billing ICD information of items displayed in the billing ICD list display area. The billing ICD list data entry area displays the options to add, modify, track, and resolve the billing ICD information for patient problems. The billing ICD list data entry area has two sections, the data entry area toolbar and the data entry fields, and occupies the bottom half of the Billing ICD List tab. Billing ICD List Billing ICD List Data Entry Area Toolbar The billing ICD list data entry area toolbar provides options to manage the items in the billing ICD list. Billing ICD List Toolbar

The billing ICD list toolbar is located below the Problem List and Billing ICD List tabs. The Billing ICD List toolbar provides the following features and functions: Button Description Refresh Updates information that has been entered and accepted in the Billing ICD List tab. Preferences Enables you to choose which columns are displayed. Deleted Items Opens the Deleted Items window which lists all the deleted billing ICD entries. Open Billing ICD List

The Billing ICD List tab of the Problems module displays the details of the billing ICD codes of a patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from Patient Lookup window. Select an existing encounter from the Encounter History or create an encounter. To open the Problems module, select Problems on the Quick Buttons panel.The Problems module opens displaying the Problem List tab by default. To open the billing ICD list, select the Billing ICD List tab. Billing ICD List Billing ICD List The billing ICD list displays all the resolved and unresolved billing ICD entries of a patient. Add an ICD to the ICD Billing List You can add an entry to the Billing ICD List using the add ICD feature. Manage Billing ICD List Entries

You can mark a Billing ICD entry as chronic, see who last modified the entry, resolve a problem, or delete an entry. Open Billing ICD List. In the Billing ICD List Data display area, right-click a Billing ICD entry. A menu of functions and features opens. Billing ICD List To mark a Billing ICD entry as chronic, right-click the Billing ICD entry and select Set Chronic. The Set Chronic button is only active if the selected Billing ICD entry has not been set as chronic. Setting a problem as chronic in the Billing ICD List does not set that same problem to Chronic in the Problem List. To see who last modified the entry and when, select Who/When. The application displays the Modification Information window. Modification Information To refresh the changes for the Billing ICD entry, select Refresh. To add a problem, select Add Problem. To mark a problem as Resolved, select Resolve. To create a copy of an existing ICD Code, right-click the code and select Recur. To delete a problem, select Del
