For each visit, you need the flexibility to work with the Immunization functions as each event occurs in real time. If needed, for example, you may need to do any of the following: View or hide dose exceptions when administering immunizations. Select and document Excluded Immunizations. Document that an Immunizations series is complete. Mark a patient who has no previously documented immunizations for reporting purposes and tracking. Report adverse events. Consider your primary patient types for your practice, such as pediatric. Consider your overall workflow. How are your immunizations selected and processed currently? What groups primarily administer the immunizations after the physician selects the immunizations for a patient? Does your practice have VIS forms that you produce manually or will you be attaching them to Immunizations orders to print electronically? Based on your practice needs and the Immunizations Order workflow, you may need to consider which fields to set up as required (or Mandatory Data Points) when selecting vaccines and then administering the Immunizations order.
