Add Insurance to a Person or Patient

The Insurance Maintenance window is used to add insurance to a person or patient. You system adminstrator manages the insurer list in File Maintenance in the Payers master file.
  1. In the Insurance Listing section of the Demographics tab, select the open menu and then select New Insurance.
    The Payer Lookup window appears.
  2. Enter the search criteria for the payer.
  3. Select Find, and double-click the applicable payer in the Payer List.
    The Insurance Maintenance window appears.
  4. Select the Detail tab and enter the HIC/Policy Nbr.
  5. Enter any additional information required by your practice.
  6. Select OK.
