Add General Information for Persons or Patients

You must add the person or patient's general identification information, such as the first and last name, social security number, birth date, sexual profile, and preferred pronoun. General information for a patient or person appears as a header on every tab of the patient or person information windows. Open NextGen® Enterprise. Open the People Lookup window, and then select New. The Add Person Information window opens. Select a Prefix preferred by the person or patient. Mr, Mrs, or Reverend. Enter the Last name and First name for the person or patient. Both are required fields. Select the Previous Last link and then enter the previous last name of the person or patient. Select the Previous First link and then enter the previous first name of the person or patient. Enter the person or patient's Middle name. Add Demographics to Patient Profiles

You can add demographics such as the patient's general information, address, contact information, and insurance details. You can also specify if a person is a smoker or veteran on the Demographics tab of Add Person Information window. Additionally you can enroll the patient or person in the Enterprise Chart to view encounters from different practices in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Note: The optional and mandatory fields that appear on the Add Person Information window can be configured by your system administrator in Enterprise Preferences in File Maintenance. The mandatory fields appear in red color. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar select Lookup or People Lookup The Person Lookup window opens. Select New. Add a New Referral to a Person or Patient

This feature is only available for practices that use NextGen® Eligibility Verification license. After you add an insurer to a person/patient's profile, you can refer the person/patient to a different provider. In the Insurance Listing section of the Demographics tab, select the Open Menu , and then select New Referral. The New Referral Entry window appears. Complete the following required fields Requesting Physician Referred To Entity Type Place of Service Enter any additional information, and select OK.
