Access Clinical Decision Support from the Medications Module
You can access the Clinical Decision Support resource from the Medications module. The Clinical Decision Support resource collects the RxNorm information for the selected medication and patient’s age, age range, and gender. The information is passed through the InfoButton to the external system.
- Open the Medications module for a patient.
- Enter a new medication for the patient, if required.
- Do one of the following:
- Right-click the medication, and then select .
- Select the medication, and then select from the Medications module toolbar.
The application directs you to the external URL set up in File Maintenance. Closing the website returns you to the original patient and location.
