You can set up
NextGen® Document Management to read barcodes printed on separator sheets that are inserted into documents. The barcodes can correspond to document types or patients. After the barcodes are scanned, the separator sheets are not imported to
NextGen® Document Management. When
NextGen® Document Management scans the barcode, it automatically inserts the barcode value into the correct document type field for filing.
Note: You must apply a NextGen® Document Management Barcode Engine User License to each user you want to perform barcode scanning in NextGen® Document Management.

Note: The pre-printed and separator sheet barcode types must not be mixed within the same batch.
