Designate Storage Location for Deleted Files

Before you begin Create a storage location, and then label it as Hard Delete. In NextGen® Document Management, you can provide an opportunity for an administrator or supervisor to review the deleted image and, if necessary, restore it. Open File Maintenance. In Master Files, select System, PM, or Document Management, and then select Practices. The Practices List window opens. In the Practices list, double-click a practice. The Modify Practice Information window opens. Select Preferences. The Practice Preferences window opens. In Preferences List, select Imaging. In Hard Delete Path, select the hard delete storage location that you created, and then select OK to close the Practice Preferences window. Close the Modify Practice Information window, and then close the Practices List window. After you set up the storage location, you must provide deletion permissions to users in the System Administrator. Configure the Duplicate Data Alert Message

You can prevent filing duplicate data when users use the scan & file method. If users try to file documents containing similar items, the Duplicate Alert message appears. To activate this alert, you must configure the settings both at the document type and practice levels. Open File Maintenance. In Master Files, select System, PM, or Document Management, and then select Practices. The Practices List window opens. In the Practices list, double-click a practice. The Modify Practice Information window opens. Select Preferences. The Practice Preferences window opens. In Preferences List, select Imaging. In Filing Options, select Duplicate Check, and then select OK.The Modify Practice Information window appears. Select OK to return to the Practices List window, and then select Close. Send Annotations with Images to NextGen Patient Portal

You can send annotations attached with an image while sending that image to a patient's account in NextGen® PxP Portal. To send annotations with the image, you must configure the setting at the practice level in File Maintenance. In File Maintenance, access Master Files > System or PM or Document Management > Practices. The Practices List window opens. In the Practices list, double-click the appropriate practice. The Modify Practice Information window opens. Select the Preferences button. The Practice Preferences window opens. In the Preferences List, select Imaging. In the Patient Portal Options section, select the Send Annotations With Image check box. Select OK. The Modify Practice Information window opens. Select OK. The Practice List window opens. Respond to PAQ Action Tasks

A PAQ Action task is listed in the Clinical Tasking tab only if it is signed off in the Provider Approval Queue tab using the Task 1 or Task 2 action item. Send Documents and Images to NextGen® PxP Portal

Before you begin You must do the following: Complete enrollment in NextGen® PxP Portal. Add the NextGen® Document Management image to a patient's chart. Set up image rights in System Administrator. Configure document types and sending annotations with images in File Maintenance. In NextGen® Document Management, you can send documents and images to NextGen® PxP Portal. Note: You cannot send documents larger than 15 MB. However, you can set the size limit for sending documents to NextGen® PxP Portal in System Administrator. For more information on System Administrator, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the System Administrator Guide for NextGen® Enterprise. Open NextGen® Document Management. On the toolbar, select Search, and then search for the documents or images. The Matching Records grid displays the list of patients who are associated with images that match your search results. Send Patient Documents

Before you begin To send the NextGen® Document Management images to NextGen® PxP Portal, ensure that the Rights > Operations > Imaging > Send Doc Mgmt Image to Patient Portal in System Administrator must be set to True and the necessary access rights must be enabled. If the right is set to No, the Send to Patient Portal option appears disabled for the selected image. You must also select the Patient Portal Accessible check box for the document type in File Maintenance. You can export documents, images, or SAP® Crystal Reports® objects from NextGen® Enterprise EHR to NextGen® PxP Portal for patients enrolled in NextGen® PxP Portal.
