Configure Operation Rights for Imaging Tasks

You can configure the image-related functions that a group of users can perform in NextGen® Document Management. Open System Administrator. Select a user group, and then select the Rights tab. In Master Files, select System, PM, or Document Management, and then select Practices. The Practices List window opens. In the Practices list, double-click a practice. The Modify Practice Information window opens. Select Preferences. The Practice Preferences window opens. In Preferences List, select Imaging. Expand OPERATIONS, and then expand Imaging. In the Access Rights section, select Yes.You can select No to deny the selected operation right for the user group. Note: When users belong to two groups that have their operation rights set differently from each other, then the Yes option prevails over the No option. Select Save. Set Up Operation Rights for Generating Reports

You can configure which user groups can generate NextGen® Document Management reports from NextGen® Document Management and NextGen® Enterprise PM. Open System Administrator. Select a user group, and then select the Rights tab. In Master Files, select System, PM, or Document Management, and then select Practices. The Practices List window opens. In the Practices list, double-click a practice. The Modify Practice Information window opens. Select Preferences. The Practice Preferences window opens. In Preferences List, select Imaging. Expand OPERATIONS, and then expand Reports. Select Doc Mgmt, and then in the Access Rights section, select Yes. For each security group in System Administrator, you can manage their access rights related to the Scan Templates module rights. Open System Administrator. Select a user group, and then select the Rights tab. Expand MODULES, and then expand File Maintenance. Scan Templates

With the Scan Templates master file, you can create templates for NextGen® Document Management that apply preconfigured settings to the process of scanning documents. When applied to a batch during document scanning, the scanning template adjusts the TWAIN interface settings to control the scanner. You must have a license for NextGen® Document Management to access Scan Templates master file.
