NextGen® Background Business Processor System Requirements

The NextGen® Background Business Processor server is a fat client running its own instances of NextGen applications. To avoid package and job failures, all NextGen® Background Business Processor servers must be updated to the current version during an upgrade (all end user workstations).

The NextGen® Background Business Processor server must meet the following requirements to run all instances of NextGen applications:

• For Light or Moderate process categories, and for packages that do not run Report Server processes, the following hardware requirements apply in accordance with the NextGen application requirements:

  Single Processor, 2GB Memory, and any supported operating system in Legacy Mode (x32 bit)

• For Heavy or Severe process categories, and for packages that run Report Server processes, the following hardware requirements apply in accordance with the NextGen Application requirements:

  Dual Core Processor, 4GB Memory, and any supported operating system in Legacy Mode (x32 bit)

• .NET Framework v4.6.2

You can also run NextGen® Background Business Processor servers on virtual servers. If you have a machine running multiple virtual servers, then each instance of the virtual server must meet the preceding requirements.
